Laura Kasinof

Laura Kasinof is a freelance journalist whose work focuses on the Middle East. From 2011-2012, she reported for the New York Times from Yemen, covering antigovernment protests and conflict that was part of the political upheaval unfolding across the Arab world. Her first book, Don't Be Afraid of the Bullets: An Accidental War Correspondent in Yemen, is about that experience.
