Laura Perryman is purpose-driven colour and material design consultant and trend forecaster with fifteen years’ design industry experience. Her ethos is colour and materials should be integral but above all have a positive purpose for applications, products, or services. Working with companies, she navigates future opportunities and creates intelligent, empathetic, and planet-aware palettes, proving aesthetics and colour are imperative to human experience. She currently runs Colour of Saying, a consultancy that specializes in future-forward design with colour and materials. Laura was the recipient of a prestigious colour award from the Society of Dyers and Colourists for her work in textile design, and her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, House & Garden and Business Week. Laura regularly lectures at universities including the Royal College of Art and Nottingham Trent University, and she is on the board of trustees for the Colour in Design Awards. She has developed an in-depth understanding of colour and material which as led to the successful creation of innovative brand colour palettes and material development for globally renowned and respected companies including Panasonic Europe, Speedo, 3M and Nokia.
