Laura Town is an award-winning author and editor whose many publications are aimed at meeting the needs of diverse audiences. Her published books include a series of evidence-based guides that focus on promoting health and wellness among the aging population. Her areas of publishing expertise also include finance, human resources, academic writing, and other specialty areas. Since 2005, Laura has contributed to the development of numerous online nursing courses and texts. Her work has been published by John Wiley and Sons and the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and she has also written for the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA). Laura is founder and president of WilliamsTown Communications,, a company that specializes in creating engaging, interactive educational courses and texts for publishers, universities, and nonprofit organizations. Her clients include LinkedIn, WebMD, Medscape, the University of Pennsylvania, and California State University. She is also past president of the Indiana chapter of AMWA. In addition to creative writing, Laura is passionate about spending time with her family and being the busy mom of two teenage boys.
