Laurie Schneider is a library professional, bookseller, and former editor who lives and breathes middle-grade literature. She grew up in central Wisconsin, a handful of miles from where her debut middle-grade novel GITTEL is set, and currently resides in Norman, Oklahoma, the heart of Tornado Alley, where she’s frequently spotted scoping out the herons, frogs, and turtles at the neighborhood pond. Laurie studied English and Creative Writing at Oberlin College and has a master’s degree in American Studies from Washington State University.
