Lawrence Deary

Lawrence, or Larry as his friends call him, was born and raised in Michigan, and currently resides with his wife in a suburb 30 miles north of downtown Detroit. Larry considers his family of three sons and five grandchildren his proudest accomplishment. His debut children's picture book, “The Boy "Who Talked to the Moon," was originally written for his grandchildren, but not published until several years later. Larry is retired from a career in human resources administration and is a military veteran. While in college he was a journalism major prior to being attracted to human resources. He is a sports enthusiast following his Detroit professional teams, and University of Michigan football. He describes himself as an avid but "very amateur" golfer. He hopes his book will inspires young minds to be curious and develop a love for reading.
