Lee Koss was born and raised in the north of England. Murkier than the Mersey is his first work of fiction set in the city of Liverpool, where he previously lived. Both of his subsequent novels are set in Switzerland, in Vaud Canton, where he presently resides. Last Scene at Balthasar's Theatre is followed by a sequel, Sex, Lies and Obsession at Balthasar's Theatre. All his novels are murder stories. Both stories set in Switzerland are available in French and English. Koss's literary influences include John Grisham, Peter James, Ruth Rendall, Joel Dicker and Ian Rankin and Robert Galbraith, among others.
