Leigh Robinson was born is Wisbech, Cambridgeshire in 1981. The son of a passionate fisherman, he grew up around the lakes and rivers of the Fens. The fishing bug never caught on but the love of the outdoors did. His interests grew in the plants and animals he saw on those fishing trips. As a teenager he discovered a book his father was reading "SAS Survival guide". Page after page of hunting, trapping, foraging, navigation and much more. He was hooked. He would take the book out and practice as much as he could, building bows, foraging and making cordage. This passion for outdoor skills grew into a love for Bushcraft, Survival and Primitive living skills. Leigh's book, Bushcraft - The Bow Drill Bible, was instantly popular as an in depth, comprehensive guide to friction fire lighting. Providing a much needed work that encapsulates the history of fire with the practical methods of making bow drill fire. Including an indispensable passage on Problem Solving with the Bow Drill. Leigh teaches Bushcraft, Survival and Primitive living skills from Cambridge, UK.
