Leslie Shapiro

Leslie Shapiro received her undergraduate degree at Simmons College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction, and won the Human Services Departmental Award for commitment to community service. She received her Master's Degree from the Boston University School of Social Work in 1989 and has been treating OCD and related disorders ever since. She specializes in conscience-related factors in OCD (scrupulosity, moral perfectionism, and obsessive guilt) and conducts research to better understand the impact these issues have on treatment and recovery. She was also a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa from 1982-1984.
