Hello . . . My name is Judi Quelland. The books you see here on my Author Page were originally printed in the late 1950's to the early 1970's. The very first Eggbert cartoons were actually on cocktail napkins. After nearly a year of searching, I finally located the daughter of the original publisher (Percy Barker) and was able to get the necessary permission to bring these wonderful books back to life. So, while I am not the author, I AM the compiler. Lester A. Friedman (LAF) was the original cartoonist. I first started out putting these delightful cartoons and captions on maternity t-shirts, mugs, framed tiles, tote bags, mousepads and other items. Then we, (Mr. Barker's daughter, Susie, and I) decided to update the books and make them in the form of a diary for all of you expectant Moms to write your own story of your pregnancy. This has been a true labor of love. (pun intended!) I hope you will enjoy these books as much as I have enjoyed putting them together.
