Lillian Cumic is the author of the plant-based and gluten-free cookbooks "Hawai'i A Vegan Paradise" (Nov 2020) and "Tasting Hawai'i Vegan Style" (Nov 2021), showcasing Hawaiian food with a vegan twist. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Lillian began her culinary career in Japan where she lived for 30 years before moving to Honolulu in 2019. Lillian has been featured in multiple publications including cover stories in the June 2019 edition of CRAVE magazine and December 2020 MidWeek Hawaii. Her 2020 book "Hawaii A Vegan Paradise" shatters the notion that vegan food is boring. In Nov 2021, Lillian's second book, "Tasting Hawaii Vegan Style" was released and is a beautifully photographed collection of plant-based and gluten-free dishes trending on the Islands. Honolulu Magazine voted her first book Top 5 books to read in Hawaii in the December 2020 issue, A Taste of Home selected it as Top 10 Modern Hawaiian Books To Read in 2022. The UK's Vegan Food and Living Magazine has also featured her recipes and books. Lillian became a regular columnist in Hawaii's biggest publication The Star Advertiser's CRAVE magazine in January 2023. Her column focuses on plant-based dining on Oahu. There are over 200 plant-based recipe videos on her Lillian Vegan YouTube channel and Lillian Vegan Facebook page.
