Lillias Kinsman-Chauvet

Lillias is an author/illustrator living in Scotland. Growing up in a family of artists, her earliest memories are creative ones - the allure of the ‘art cupboard’ and eating sandwiches amongst red clay dust and drying pots. After 15 years as a performing musician she can once again be found surrounded by paper, paint, pens and stories. In 2023 her debut picture book was selected for the dPICTUS Unpublished Picturebook Showcase & published in 2024 by Boxer Books/Union Square. Lillias has a degree in music and postgrad in graphic design from London School of the Arts. On graduating, she cycled through Cuba researching screen printing techniques. Lillias home-educates with her two children and is a founder of ‘The Nest’ a Consent-Based, Nature-Led learning community for young people.
