Linda Ackerman Anderson, Ed.D. has been writing about change since the seventh grade! She got serious about large-scale organizational change in the late 70's working at Sun Company, Inc, where she co-ran a massive transformational change effort at Sun Petroleum Products Company--mostly relying on her intuition and sheer perserverence. This experience (thankfully successful!) prompted her to write professionally, and she published her first iteration of the nine-phase Change Leader's Roadmap in 1981. She then started Linda S. Ackerman, Inc. to teach and consult on major organizational change, and in 1986, met her now partner and husband, Dean Anderson. She and Dean formed Being First, Inc. in 1988, and merged their two specialties--personal and organizational transformation--into what is now the renowned methodology featured in The Change Leader's Roadmap book. Linda was one of the founders of the field of Organization Transformation, and continues to speak and teach about how to master it through conscious change leadership. She is also an advocate for women as leaders of change, and writes about the realities of women working, having families, and finding themselves--all essential to a deeply satisfying life. Linda, Dean and their daughter Terra live in Durango, Colorado on a beautiful ranch where she enjoys gardening, hiking, mask-making, and cooking.
