Linda Hahner has given away millions of free literacy lessons to children around the world. It is her mission to design beautiful language building blocks that help students master reading and writing in more than one language. After receiving an MFA from Washington University, Hahner traveled to Finland on a Fulbright scholarship. Watching her six-year-old son learn to read in English and Finnish was a life-altering experience. It became the basis of 20 years of research and discovery. She received a Teaching English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL) Certificate from the University of Surrey and taught English as a Second Language (ESL) at the University of Helsinki before becoming an Internet pioneer in San Francisco, California. Hahner is the founder of the Literacy Center Education Network and the Co-founder of #ELLchat on Twitter.
