Linda Shayne is an author, screenwriter and film and TV and film director. She is an alumnus of the University of California at Berkeley and is American and Canadian. Shayne is an avid reader and very much likes to travel. Her short story "Christmas Cowboys" was published in a short story holiday anthology "Christmas Cowboys, Mistletoe Diner and Other Short Stories". Shayne's newest book, a children's book, "Longfellow Finds A Home" is the first in a series of Wiener Dog Tales and is illustrated by Emmy Award winning animator, Art Leonardi (one of the original team of "Pink Panther" animators.) The book is also published in Spanish, "Longfellow Encuentra un Hogar." Shayne was inspired to create and write "Longfellow Finds A Home" by the amusing antics of her dachshund dog, Longfellow. Longfellow, the wiener dog, appeared in several feature films and would sit at Shayne's side when she wrote screenplays and stories.
