Ling Lee

Ling was born in Guangzhou, China and moved to the US when she was 4. She spent many Sunday afternoons attending Chinese school and now appreciates her early exposure to the Chinese language. When her son, Wesley, was born, she wanted to give him the same language opportunity so he could better connect with his culture and communicate with his grandparents. She scoured the internet for bilingual kids’ books and struggled to find well-illustrated books that had Chinese, pinyin, and English. That’s when she decided to create her own stories, both to read to her son and share with other parents looking to introduce Chinese to their young readers.
