Liwei Jiao

Dr. Liwei Jiao is Senior Lecturer in East Asian Studies at Brown University. Besides his teaching tenure of twenty-six years at Renmin University of China, the University of Durham in England and the University of Pennsylvania, he is a keen developer of Chinese learning materials. His Routledge series of dictionaries cover Chinese idioms, proverbs, lexicon and the relationship between language and culture. He is a reviewer for Routledge and Choice Reviews of American Library Association and a contributor to The Routledge Encyclopedia of the Chinese Language and Encyclopedia of China. His most recent edited book is The Routledge Handbook of Chinese Language and Culture.
