A cultural anthropologist by training, Liza Grandia writes about corporate, environmental, and development threats to Indigenous peoples. She is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Native American Studies at the University of California-Davis. She graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and earned her PhD from UC Berkeley. A lifelong activist, she brings a blend of humor, hard hitting research, and hope to otherwise grim topics like land grabbing, toxics, cancer, and corporate plunder. Having been raised in Alabama and Georgia, Liza has often assured "dear Henry" that there is, indeed, a hole in the bucket.
