Lorraine Duffy Merkl

Lorraine Duffy Merkl is a published author, freelance journalist, and advertising creative director/copywriter. In addition to The Last Single Woman In New York City (2022), she's written two other novels: Back To Work She Goes (2013) and Fat Chick (2009). Merkl’s essays have appeared in the New York Times, New York Post, New York Daily News, New York Observer, Cosmopolitan, the Huffington Post, xoJane, Bustle, Redbook, Woman’s Day, Seventeen, Marie Claire, Town & Country, The Girlfriend, The Ethel, Rachel Ray In Season, Newsweek, Shondaland, and The Independent, to name a few. Merkl resides in Manhattan with her husband, son, and daughter.
