Lucky Diaz is a GRAMMY Award-winning, multi–Latin GRAMMY Award-winning, and six-time EMMY-nominated musician, songwriter, and author. His work has been praised by NPR, Billboard, and The New York Times. In 2020, his album Buenos Diaz was recognized as a notable work for children by the American Library Association. In 2024, he won a GRAMMY Award for his album Brillo, Brillo!, further cementing his impact in children's entertainment. Lucky's debut picture book, Paletero Man, has been celebrated with starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews, School Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, and ALA Booklist. The book was honored with the 2024 Alma Flor Ada Award for children's literature. His subsequent release, La Guitarrista (2023), received widespread acclaim for its empowering tale of resilience and the transformative power of music. Looking ahead, Lucky is set to release Fix-It Familia in the spring of 2025, continuing his mission to share vibrant stories that celebrate culture and community. A first-generation Mexican-American, Lucky brings vibrant storytelling to young audiences through music and books, celebrating culture, community, and joy. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Alisha; their daughter, Indiana Maven; and their dog, Django. His favorite paleta flavor? Horchata—always.
