Lucy Schaeffer

Lucy Schaeffer is an author, photographer, and director. Since she shot her first cookbook in 2007, she has been commissioned to photograph more than fifty cookbooks and craft books. Lucy is also a frequent magazine contributor, shooting regularly for publications such as Every Day with Rachael Ray, House Beautiful, Family Fun, Martha Stewart Living, and The Food Network. Her advertising client list includes Lowe’s, Disney, Chipotle, Triscuit, and Samsung. Lucy is best known for her ability to capture real moments full of boldness, whimsy, color, and fun. Lucy earned a BA in Painting/Printmaking from Yale University, illustrated a children’s book, and spent five years as a photo editor at Food & Wine magazine before discovering she preferred being behind the camera.
