As the author of books for our youth, I started communicating with children, teens, and young adults many years ago. As a proud mother of 3 and 2 wonderful grandsons, I raised my children in a small midwestern town with a strong family environment. As many of us do, I progressed through the years within my career. First as a dance teacher, owner of a large studio, then a company director. I have had the privilege of observing 5 generations of students, through their formative years, it's been a journey I have embraced and am very proud of. In addition, I had 11 wonderful years in a theater, first a choreographer, then a director, then an event producer. I have had the opportunity to encounter many different cultures and their ways of life by directing a cultural exchange tour overseas, along with productions in 3 additional countries. Being an artist and a teacher, I have some understanding of how young students react in particular situations. Most of my content is based on my own observations that I have encountered along the way. Through the generations, children starting to mature might discover some inner battles, with family, social issues, and self-acceptance. They sometimes turn to alternative families and activities for positive comfort. That can be difficult for our youth. As a mentor, I try to help build self-confidence and encourage self-discipline. I believe positive support helps children become more successful in life's challenges. I have seen that young children with a goal, might tend to learn to study harder and do better in school. Whether being involved in dance, performing arts, school activities, or sports, children have an incentive to work harder with a goal in mind. I continue to communicate through my writings, both in an innocent and fun way to connect with children and at an age-appropriate level for young adults. Enjoy my books and communications.
