Lyndi Cacey grew up in the sun-soaked deserts of southeast New Mexico, where tumbleweeds were practically neighbors and rain was as rare as a unicorn sighting. As a kid, Lyndi’s happy place was wherever she could find water—whether splashing in rain puddles, daydreaming by ponds, or imagining grand ocean adventures (even if it was just a kiddie pool). Her love for all things nature was as boundless as the desert horizon, and spoiler alert: nothing has changed. You’ll likely find her sitting on her lake perch, scribbling down the tales whispered by playful plants, mischievous animals – or marveling at the antics of humans at social gatherings. Her Australian Shepherd, however, isn’t thrilled about this arrangement. Once a sprightly pup, he now finds himself relegated to the role of "creative consultant," occasionally grumbling about his lack of airtime in her tales and empty treat boxes. Lyndi is endlessly fascinated by nature—its seen, unseen, and slightly magical quirks. She’s particularly drawn to the wisdom of willows, and naturally, she’s decided to share those tales with imaginative souls everywhere in The Willow Adventures: Book 1, her first children’s book. Lyndi also creates coloring and activity books, because, in her own words, “Why just read about nature’s magic when you can color it in and add magic sparkles of your own?”
