Lynn O. High

Lynn O. High was born in 1944 and grew up on a farm in Nebraska. At eleven he saw a silver jet in the sky over Salina Kansas during a family visit to his older brother. He told his father he would fly that plane someday--and he did. His life passion has been aviation. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and became a fighter pilot serving two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. During his military career his interests included investing, and his first book was written based on his experience with investments and his joining a securities firm as a part-time registered representative when stationed at Hickam AFB in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1982. He self-published his first book, Pay Your$elf First, in 1984 selling nearly twenty thousand copies by direct mail order and through investment seminar presentations. Although tax laws have changed since then, the fundamentals of saving a portion of your income and using sound investment strategies has not. He is now retired and has written an autobiography of his early Air Force career during the Vietnam War, having been published in August 2015. It is uniquely written with each chapter being a key event. At the end of nearly every chapter are supporting photos (over one-hundred eighty total) that pertain to that event or period of time.
