关于作者

I have slept in a tent, backpacked many times, and survived in the wilderness. Now I sleep in a Pop-Up trailer when camping. I've accumulated over 40 years of camping knowledge to share with you. Growing up as a Navy brat landing me in Albuquerque, NM, in 1971. My father and I joined a Boy Scouts when I was 12. This was my first experience with camping, and I loved every minute of it. We went car camping, backpacking, hiking, and trekking afloat in canoes and kayaks. Since then, I have never looked back. My wife, two children, and I enjoyed camping every summer together. Some of my best memories come from camping experiences. When my son was of age, he joined Boy Scouts reaching the rank of Eagle Scout. I eventually became Scoutmaster for a couple of years after attending Wood Badge Leadership training. We had a blast camping together through the years. I still love to camp with my wife, following her around while she fishes. We're constantly experiencing new camping spots when there's water available to fish in. We try new recipes and still learn lessons every time we camp. When I am not camping or writing, I enjoy playing board games in the evenings with my wife and daughter. Every few weeks, I play Dungeons and Dragons with my son, brother, and friends. When the extended family gets together we make delicious food, play cards, enjoy each other’s company and catch up with our busy lives.
