M.K. Corder began her journey as a children's book author with a passion for nurturing young imaginations through storytelling. She draws inspiration for writing both as a life-long dog owner and from her career background in healthcare as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She has seen the power of dogs help non-verbal patients to speak and unmotivated patients to stand, walk, and joyfully participate in therapy. Her own dog of 14 years, who inspired M.K. Corder to begin writing this series, provided her with the love and healing that so many dog owners have experienced and can relate to. Her debut book, The Adventures of a Dog Named Miss Honey Bunny, introduces children to adopting a pet, and encourages supporting a local humane society so they can also know and understand the love of a dog. When not writing, M.K. Corder teaches and provides physical therapy at a local college. She also spends her days walking or paddling with her dog and tinkering in the garden. She resides in the High Plains of Kansas with her husband and dog, where she continues to find joy in exploring the world through a dog's curious eyes.
