MARK AUGER

Mark Auger is a first-time author who recently released his book "My Walk on the Moon," about his true-life experience while working in post-revolutionary Iran in 1998/99. He wrote this book because he felt that the Western public has a view of the Iranian people and life in Iran that is very far from reality and this book would shed some light on this. The book covers many situations that are unique due to Iranian culture or as a result of government regulations—some funny, some potentially dangerous and the resulting courtship with his wife was a pretty wild experience. Mark, a Canadian engineer, immigrated to the United States with his beautiful wife Farzaneh (you probably saw the picture) immediately after the period covered by the book in January 2000. They now have two children—one studying at university and the second one, a daughter who will join him soon, leaving us with our two dogs at home.
