Mobeen Azhar is a Journalist and Film maker. His work for the BBC covers terrorism, sex work and addiction, but there is another, more purple side to Mobeen. He’s a huge Prince fan. In 2015 Mobeen found a way to pay tribute to his hero. He produced and presented 'Hunting For Prince’s Vault', a BBC documentary exploring Prince's mythical cache of unreleased songs. The documentary was broadcast internationally and is credited with bringing the legend of Prince's unreleased music into widespread public consciousness. Mobeen has written for the Guardian, the Observer, Rolling Stone, Attitude, and the BBC. He is a regular correspondent on PRI's 'The World' in the US and for BBC Radio 4 in the UK. His television reporting credits include 'Front Line' in the US and 'Panorama' in the UK. He has won an Amnesty International Award and has been nominated for a One World Media Award, a Press Association Award and a BAFTA.
