I was born and raised in our beloved country, South Africa. From an early age, my biggest fear in life was that I was going to die before I could get around to living my life to the fullest. As a result, I adopted the motto; "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, "What a f**king ride!" I do not portray myself as some kind of "Rambo" character in the least. I'm just an average kind of fellow, with a huge appetite for anything challenging or adventurous by nature. It gave me immense pleasure writing my first book "Never a Dull Moment in Africa", and being able to share my intrepid life, which is inspired by true-life events and experiences with great peeps such as yourself. My wife Catherine and I live in Florida, love to travel and explore little remote places off the beaten track in our RV. With my new book "Never a Dull Moment in Africa" barely out of the stables, I'm already drumming up my second book, which promises to be quite a scream, as I reflect on our journey across the United States in our RV.
