Maddie Moate is a BAFTA-winning children's television presenter and YouTube filmmaker. She is the host of the BAFTA-nominated CBeebies TV series “Maddie's Do You Know?”, CBBC's "Show Me the Honey" and Magnolia Network's "Make Yourself At Home" on Discovery Plus. Maddie has been championing quality, educational content for children and families on YouTube for the past 10 years. On her hugely successful YouTube channel, Maddie combines the traditional online style with educational content in the hope to inspire a new audience to stay curious, and adventurous and encourage science engagement. Her channel covers a wide spectrum of topics including engineering, travel, history and wildlife and was awarded "Best Kids Channel" by Kidscreen in 2022. Since itand has amassed over 230 thousand subscribers and 50+ Million views. Away from her own channel, Maddie has fronted YouTube series for BBC Earth, English Heritage, Fully Charged, and LEGO. In 2021 Maddie published her first non-fiction children's book 'Stuff: Eco Stories of Everyday Things" with Puffin Books, and her latest non-fiction offering, 'A Very Curious Christmas', was published in October 2023. 'A Very Curious Christmas' is full of festive fun and seasonal science from around the world and quickly rose to the No.1 spot in the Amazon Charts in both Children's Books on Customs, Traditions & Anthropology and Children Books about Christmas. Maddie also writes and performs her own live science shows for theatres and festivals across the UK and has enjoyed acting in multiple pantomimes, at the Globe for Cbeebies Shakespeare and the CBeebies Prom at the Royal Albert Hall. She is a patron of the Youth STEM Awards (YSA) scheme and an ambassador for The Wildlife Trusts and Eureka: The National Children’s Museum.
