Malcolm Davies

I was born in Plymouth Devon, England where the "Mayflower Steps", a short flight of stone stairs leading down to the water can still be seen. It was down these the Pilgrim fathers walked to take ship for America. I worked mostly as an insurance claims-investigator in England, Southern Africa and the Middle-East, keeping it together between offers of bribes (biggest, $500,000) and threats ("We know where you live...."). I am proud to have taken nothing and suffered only one physical attack. All the time I have been writing - one act stage plays, radio plays and magazine articles before turning my hand to full length novels. I now live in a village in Western France where the biggest event in the last twelve years has been the robbery of the local Tabac.
