Malu Romo

Malu was born in the picturesque city of Santa Barbara, California, where the natural beauty of the coast met the warmth of family storytelling. With a father who was an avid reader and a mother whose captivating tales brought family history to life, Malu was immersed in a world of adventure and imagination from an early age. Growing up between the U.S. and Mexico, she found inspiration in the rich cultures and landscapes around her, weaving her experiences into the fabric of her stories. Malu’s love for storytelling was nurtured by her mother’s childhood adventures, which she eagerly listened to each night. Drawing from these vivid stories, as well as her own explorations, Malu became a storyteller in her own right. Her writing blends mystery, nature, and fantasy, often with a touch of history that harken back to her father's influence. Now living in sunny California with her husband, two sons, two dogs, and two tortoises, Malu continues to write with the same passion that fueled her childhood. She is currently working on her next children’s book, inspired by the magical moments and lessons of her own life and travels.
