Manfred "Dutch" von Ehrenfried

Manfred "Dutch" von Ehrenfried was born in Dayton, Ohio but grew up in Lancaster Country, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Richmond Virginia with a degree in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. He joined the NASA Langley Research Center's Space Task Group in 1961 and was trained as a flight controller in the Mission Control Center for the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs. He was also an Apollo Pressure Suit Test Subject and crewman on the NASA high altitude RB-57F. He has written many books on aviation and space and has been a guest speaker at schools, civic groups and universities as well as at Spacefest. He has served on the Boards of Lago Vista, Texas civic associations and sings with the Hill Country Singers. Later in life, "Dutch" received the following certifications; Chartered Financial Consultant, ChFC and Chartered Life Underwriter, CLU and has worked in those fields for over twenty years.
