Marc Cortez is a theology teacher, writer, blogger, and youth worker. Originally from the great Northwest, where he worked as a junior and senior high youth pastor for many years, Marc now lives with his family in the Chicago area and teaches theology at Wheaton College, a leading Christian university. Marc's academic writing focuses on the relationship between Christology and theological anthropology. Or, said differently, he's interested in what it means to say that Jesus reveals what it means to be truly human, and what difference that claim makes for important issues like race, gender/sexuality, embodiment, and free will. But Marc also writes extensively on theology at a more popular level. His blog, marccortez.com, focuses on helping people think theologically about everyday life. One of the more active theology blogs on the internet, it receives over 30,000 page views monthly. And his articles have also been featured on sites like Christian Post, The Gospel Coalition, Christianity.com, and Lifeway.com.
