Marc Fasteau is the founder and former chairman of the American Strategic Insurance Group, a property & casualty insurer that was sold to Progressive in 2015 and is a partner in Sereno Properties, a developer and manager of small, high design hotels. Mr. Fasteau was an investment banker in New York for 14 years, most recently as a partner at Dillon Read & Co. He served as Staff Director and Counsel to the Rockefeller Foundation funded commission on US policy toward South Africa. Earlier in his career, Mr. Fasteau served on the staffs of the house Committee on Financial Services and the Joint Economic Committee. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School where he was an editor of the Law Review. He is vice-chair of the Coalition for A Prosperous America, an organization dedicated to reforming US trade and industrial policy to restore and revitalize American manufacturing. He is married to Anne G. Fredericks, an artist, art historian and former Wall Street professional specializing non-US equity markets for Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
