Marc Lee Shannon is an Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Certified Peer Recovery Supporter and Supervisor (OhioMHAS CPRS). He is an active County of Summit ADM Board member and holds an Advisory Board position for Judge Joy Malek Oldfield’s Turning Point Program for Summit County, Ohio. He works as a weekly volunteer at regional treatment and detox wards, and his podcast, Recovery Talks, is available wherever you find your online programming. Shannon also writes a monthly column, Feel Better-ER™, which addresses tips and wellness topics and is circulated in newspapers in Northeast Ohio. You can listen to his Feel Better-ER™ Moments on the airwaves at The Summit FM 91.3, where he works as a content creator for Summit Wellness. Shannon is also involved in the Northeast Ohio community to serve as living evidence that recovery is possible with his presentations of The Sounds of Recovery™, which delivers a message of hope and music to the recovery community and health professionals. A veteran studio and touring guitarist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Ohio’s “North Coast,” Shannon has performed with many well-known rock, soul, and country artists and was a member of Cleveland’s Michael Stanley and The Resonators for more than twenty-five years. He has released four albums (Any Ordinary Man, Walk This Road, Lucky 7, and My Other Brothers) and many singles as a solo artist. Shannon lives in a happy, small house in a quiet, blue-collar neighborhood in Northeast Ohio with his artist wife, Kimina.
