Marcie Fallek D.V.M.

Marcie Fallek D.V.M., C.V.A. has been a practicing veterinarian for almost 30 years, specializing in holistic medicine for the past 20 years. With offices in both Manhattan and Fairfield County, Ct., she has helped thousands and thousands of animals whose conditions had been deemed hopeless by her conventional colleagues. She is one of the few truly holistic veterinarians in both NYC and Connecticut. Trained in a wide range of modalities, including acupuncture, classical homeopathy, cranial sacral therapy, Bach Flowers, nutrition and herbs, amongst others, Dr. Fallek has studied under the world's top teachers in these fields. She is a contributing author to the bestselling book Your Dog's Golden Years, has contributed articles and commentaries to many of the top holistic animal magazines and books and has been featured in many newspapers including the New York Times. In addition, she has participated in two documentaries about holistic veterinary medicine. Apart from her practice, Dr. Fallek's work for homeless and abandoned animals has been a top priority. She spent years as the volunteer veterinarian for a local rescue group, of which she was a founding member. She now works closely with friends in India, feeding and treating the street dogs, with an eventual goal of opening a permanent shelter/hospital there. She is currently owned by two adorable rescue dogs, Destiny, a border collie mix and Savannah an Aussie cross, as well as two loving Persian cats, Tessa and Sienna.
