Marcos G. Ribas

关于作者

Marcos Ribas is the founder of Conexión Rítmica, a company dedicated to promoting an organizational and educational culture focused on collaboration, well-being, and holistic success through rhythm and music. His musical career began at an early age as a founding member of Rael (now transformed into Genetics), where he played bass, guitar, and worked as a composer. The band, initially recognized for performing the music of the legendary English group Genesis, recorded its first album of original compositions, Máscaras Urbanas, in 1992, and in 2007, released its latest album, Líneas Nuevas. Ribas has performed in the most important theaters in Buenos Aires, giving concerts in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, and has shared the stage with iconic rock figures such as Steve Hackett (former guitarist of Genesis) and Rick Wakeman (keyboardist of YES). Inspired by the birth of his children, he developed an innovative musical exploration workshop for preschool-aged children, which became the starting point for the creation of Conexión Rítmica. Between 2007 and 2012, he traveled to the United States and Scotland to train as a Drum Circle Facilitator under the guidance of Arthur Hull, a pioneer of drum circles worldwide. In 2013, he traveled again to the United States to participate in a Circle Songs course led by acclaimed singer and composer Bobby McFerrin. As an artist sponsored by the Remo brand, he has worked for more than two decades with diverse groups, from people with disabilities and at-risk children to educators, healthcare professionals, and corporate executives. Marcos participated in the first Guitar Craft course held in Argentina in March 1994, led by Robert Fripp, and since then, he has taken part in related courses and projects, including The League of Crafty Guitarists. He also founded the group Sur Pacífico alongside renowned Chilean musicians, which was awarded a FONDART (National Arts Fund) grant for the recording of the album En el Principio.
