Maria Avramova

Maria Avramova is a writer, screenwriter, and film director. She was born in the picturesque town of Nessebar, placed on the Black sea coast of Bulgaria. She lived in Sweden for a big part of her life where her love for storytelling took on and turned into a career. She is the screenwriter of Award-winning animated films such as "Odd is an Egg" and "Lea and The Forest Pirates" among other titles. In her children´s books, she combines the best of two cultures - the quirkiness of the Eastern European touch and the mysticism of Scandinavia.
