Mariana Abraao

This publisher aims to show the gospel and God’s love to the world, through biblically based stories and missionary stories. The name "Abraão" is the Portuguese translation of "Abraham." Mariana Abraao, the founder of this publishing house, carries this surname chosen by her Syrian great-grandfather when he restarted his life with his family in Brazil. He converted to the Gospel at the age of eight through the ministry of an American missionary in Syria. From that moment on, Mariana's great-grandfather adopted the name Abraham, representing the biblical figure whose descendants, God's chosen people, would be as numerous as the stars. This name change symbolized the freedom for his children to learn the Bible and grow in the Gospel of Jesus. The complete story is told in the book "Grandpa Fadidi" or "Vovo Fadidi." And behold, the word of the LORD came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.” And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” And he believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness. (Gen 15:4-6) Mariana Abraao is an artist, designer, and children's book author. She owns an art studio in Philadelphia, USA, and founded this publishing house to focus on developing Christian educational materials, enabling families and households to learn the Bible together and keep the cornerstone, Jesus Christ, present in their lives from an early age. The books feature a variety of styles and cater to diverse audiences across different age groups. All the books include activities at the end to reinforce what was learned through the reading or to encourage a special family moment.
