Marianne Angelillo, married for forty years and the mother of four children, lives in a small village in the Finger Lakes region of New York called Skaneateles. Marianne lost her seventeen year-old-son Matthew in a tragic car crash in 2004 and since then, has turned her grief into a campaign of awareness for parents and teens in a courageous effort to prevent similar tragedies. As the winner of the prestigious 2013 New York State STOP-DWI Community Involvement Award, Angelillo has been hailed by New York State for her profound, statewide impact on STOP-DWI. Through public high school presentations, the production of four traveling videos, and enthusiastic collaboration with local and state prevention networks, Angelillo demonstrates the impact one parent can have when she feels compelled to be a change agent for teens. Angelillo is also a professional photographer and videographer. You can contact Marianne directly at mangelillo@mac.com
