Maribel Acosta

An American author originally from Venezuela, based in Houston, TX, Maribel has held various roles over the years, including student registrar, attendance specialist, lecturer, bilingual/dual language teacher, and, most recently, reading interventionist. She has primarily served English Language Learners (ELL) in the Houston area. A proud mother of two, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Bilingual Teacher Certification. Maribel strongly believes that early exposure to reading significantly impacts children’s learning, imagination, and creativity. Her books are inspired by her years of teaching in bilingual and dual language classrooms, as well as her own family experiences.
