Marie Schaeller is an author, artist, fiddle player, and avid book reader. She has worked as a bartender, warehouse worker, silk-screener, and skateboard shop owner. Marie lives, writes, and reads in the coal region of Pennsylvania. Music and history inspire most of her travels, and Marie loves going to see the Dropkick Murphys at different venues each year. Marie is usually found with her nose in a book or writing something down. She wrote her first book, Breaking the Chains of Silence, hoping to raise awareness of child sexual abuse in our communities and what we can do about it. Exploring Atlantic Canada, was written to inspire others to travel and experience local culture. Marie loves a great road trip, busker musicians in the subway, the sound of waves crashing on the shoreline, and pepperoni pizza with extra banana peppers on top. You can find more Marie Schaeller on Facebook and Twitter.
