Marie Verde

Marie Verde is a history nerd and author of the middle-grade fantasy series TALES OF ENDA. Inspired by her love of fairy tales and the strange creatures drawn in medieval manuscripts, Marie created a series of humorous adventures starring young mythicals. She placed her talking fantasy creatures on the medieval Island of Enda, where they live alongside their human neighbors. From the scaly, pony-sized loatrons with protective magic to the small dragon-like dragpars that steal old spoons, Marie includes her original mythical creations and traditional mythicals like dragons and mermaids in her books. When not creating new mythicals for her books, Marie enjoys painting watercolors, gardening, and reading. She lives in Texas with her husband and a cat who thinks it's a pooka.
