Marilynn Gelfman Karp

Marilynn Gelfman Karp is Professor Emerita at New York University, a fine sculptor, singular cook, loving mother, proud grandmother, careful historian and compulsive collector of extraordinary objects. Her previous book is In Flagrante Collecto: Caught in the Act of Collecting (Abrams 2006) which parses the need to collect and examines the range and breadth of objects of desire. She divides her time and her corkscrews between New York City and a farmhouse in Upstate New York.
