Mark Richards is a Principal Research Engineer and Adjunct Professor in the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Fellow of the IEEE, recognized for his leadership in radar signal processing education. He is basically a Georgia Tech "lifer", having arrived there as a freshman engineering student and then stayed as a student or researcher for most of his professional life, save for short excursions to Stanford, Lockheed, and DARPA. As a professional, he has specialized in research in radar signal processing, with a little bit of high performance embedded computing mixed in. In recent years, he has focused mostly on writing and teaching about radar signal processing basics, in both academic and professional education settings.
