Mark Boardman is a sales trainer with a DIFFERENCE. Whilst he has been selling successfully for a living since he left education, he has also run a small Telecoms company for 6 years. As the owner of a business he has therefore been on the receiving end of many sales calls. So he is one of the few sales trainers that can speak with authority from both a SELLERS and a BUYERS perspective. It was in 2003 that he set his company up and it was not long before he started to notice the huge differences between how salespeople sell. He was particularly intrigued by the salespeople that managed to grab his attention and eventually sell to him. His curiosity prompted him to do something that very few people have ever done.... He spent two years interviewing and studying some of the world's best salespeople. He contacted his ex-colleagues that were (and still are) superstar performers. He contacted companies directly to speak with top salespeople, and, VERY IMPORTANTLY, he spoke with lots of other BUYERS to ask if they had experienced the same or similar sales techniques that he had when being sold to by very good salespeople. Some of the output of that research is his first book The Cold Calling Secret, soon to be followed by books covering other aspects of the sales cycle, using the same research information he gathered during his marathon two year study. Since becoming a sales trainer in 2009 Mark has helped countless salespeople, sales managers and business owners in their quest for better sales performance.
