Mark Miller is an anthropologist by training and a chef,culinary writer,flavor designer by profession . His culinary career started in Berkeley in the late 70's ,with his first two restaurants Fourth Street Grill and Santa Fe Bar and Grill,where his passion and expertise for ethnic flavors became evident . It was at Santa Fe Bar and Grill that his creative speciality of Modern Southwest Cuisine took shape and was recognized as the spearhead of a new reimagined regional cuisine . In 1986 he moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to open the famous Coyote Cafe,,a hallmark for Southwest cuisine .. He went on to open 10 more restaurants in Japan,Washington Dc ,Austin Texas ,Loa Vegas ,San Francisco ,And Sydney ,Australia. He is author of 11 books and 6 food posters ,with nearly 1 million copies in print, including The Great Chile Book ,The Great Salsa Book , Coyote Cafe, Indian Market, Red Sage ,Tacos , Salsas of the World,He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
