Marlon Bobier Vargas

Marlon Bobier Vargas SVD is a member of the Society of the Divine Word. He graduated with a Master in Divinity degree with certificates in Mission Studies and Liturgical Studies from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Prior to joining his religious missionary congregation, he was a high school teacher, retreat facilitator, and youth minister in the Philippines. Vargas also holds a bachelor’s degree in Religious Education and Guidance Counseling from the University of Santo Tomas and a master’s degree in Special Education from the University of the Philippines. He served as a catechist for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the SPRED ministry program (Special Religious Development) in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
