I am a writer and editor based in Chicago. Currently, I am a senior editor with Belt Publishing, an independent press based in Cleveland. My features and essays have appeared in Buzzfeed, Eater, the Chicago Reader, the Rumpus, the Baffler, Public Radio International, and other national and regional outlets. I am also the managing editor of South Side Weekly, a nonprofit newspaper serving the South Side of Chicago and I teach in the journalism concentration at Columbia College Chicago.
