Mary has been writing since the third grade, when her teacher took away a piece she was working on, then returned it the next day to find out how it ended. She has also been a stay home parent, a paralegal, and office manager and more. From these experiences, she has gained many insights into people and life in general. This informs much of her writing, both fiction and nonfiction. Today, she writes full-time while raising her teenage daughters and helping her husband on their farm.
